A Psalm of David
1 Yahweh shepherds me, I lack nothing:
2 He causes me to lie down in lush pastures, he leads me by peaceful waters.
3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yes, though I walk in the valley of the shadow death I don’t fear evil because you are with me; your rod and your staff, these comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in sight of my enemies; you have anointed my head in the oil, my cup overflows!
6 Indeed, goodness and loyal love will pursue me every day I’m alive, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house for as long as there are days.

A Psalm of David
1 The earth is Yahweh’s in all her abundance;
the continents and all that live there.
2 For he founded her on the seas
and he establishes her by the rivers.
3 Who will ascend the mountain of Yahweh?
Yes, who will stand where his holiness stands?
4 One with innocent hands and a pure heart;
One who has not lifted up my soul to the lie nor promised deceitfully.
5 He will lift up a blessing from Yahweh,
and righteousness from the Godhead of his salvation.
6 Such is the generation of those seeking him –
those who reach out towards your face – yes, Jacob.
Selah
7 Lift up your heads, you gates!
Be raised up, you entrances of the Age,
that the glorious king may come in!
8 Who is this glorious king?
It’s Yahweh, powerful and mighty! Yahweh, mighty for battle!
9 Lift up your heads, you gates!
Raise up, you entrances of the Age,
that the glorious king may come in!
10 Who is he, this glorious king?
Yahweh of Warriors, he is the glorious king!

For the head musician. A Psalm of David.
1 Waiting. I awaited Yahweh and he leaned down to me and heard my cry.
2 And he took me up from the pit of chaos, out of the muddy bog, and put my feet on a rock – he firmed up my footing.
3 And he has put a new song of praise to our Godhead in my mouth! Many shall see Yahweh and shall be in awe of him and trust him.
4 Blessed is the man who establishes Yahweh as his trust and doesn’t turn to the proud and to those who resort to a lie.
5 You have done many things, Yahweh my Godhead. Your amazing deeds and your intentions towards us – there is no one to line up against you! I will shout out and I will speak: they are more than can be counted!
6 You didn’t want sacrifice and offering. You have pierced ears for me. You have not asked for a burnt offering and a sin offering.
7 I said, “Hey, I come! The writings in the book are about me.
8 I love to do your will, my Godhead, and your law is deep inside me.”
9 I have preached righteousness in the great assembly – Listen! I will not restrain my lips! Oh Yahweh you know.
10 I have not concealed your righteousness within my heart. I speak your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your committed love and your truth from the great assembly.
11 O Yahweh, don’t withhold your compassion from me. Let your committed love and your truth always guard me,
12 because innumerable evils have surrounded me. My guilt has taken hold of me and I’m not able to look up – they are more than the hairs on my head and my heart fails me.
13 O Yahweh, be satisfied to deliver me! O Yahweh, hurry to my rescue!
14 Let the ones who are together seeking to destroy my soul be ashamed and humbled. Let the ones who gloat over my trouble be turned around and disgraced.
15 Those saying to me, “Aha! Aha!” are rewarded for their shame with desolation.
16 May all who are seeking you be elated in you and celebrate! And may the ones loving your salvation always say, “Yahweh is abundant!”
17 But I am poor and destitute. Yahweh will think of me. You are my help and my saviour.

1 Give thanks to Yahweh because he is good;
his committed love lasts forever.
2 Let Israel now say,
“His committed love lasts forever.”
3 Let the house of Aaron now say,
“His committed love lasts forever.”
4 Let those who fear Yahweh now say,
“His committed love lasts forever.”
5 From the trouble I called to Yahweh;
he answered me from his open space.
6 Yahweh is for me, I will not fear.
What can man do to me?
7 Yahweh is for me through my helpers,
and I see him even in my enemies.
8 It is better to trust in Yahweh than to trust in man.
9 It is better to trust in Yahweh than to trust in princes.
10 All nations surrounded me,
but in the name of Yahweh I cut them down.
11 They completely surrounded me,
but in the name of Yahweh I cut them down.
12 They surrounded me like bees;
they were quenched like a fire of thorns;
in the name of Yahweh I cut them down.
13 You tried to push me down but Yahweh helped me.
14 Yahweh is my strength and my music;
he is my salvation.
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous.
Yahweh’s right hand works powerfully.
16 Yahweh’s right hand is lifted up.
His right hand works powerfully.
17 I will not die, I will live,
and I will speak of the things Yahweh does.
18 Yahweh has disciplined me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.
19 They open the righteous gates for me.
I will enter them and praise Yahweh.
20 This is Yahweh’s gate.
The righteous will enter through it.
21 I will praise you because you answered me.
To me you are salvation.
22 The stone that the builders threw away
has become the cornerstone.
23 This has come from Yahweh –
it is amazing to us!
24 This is the day that Yahweh appointed.
We will be glad and rejoice on it.
25 Please, Yahweh, save now!
Please, Yahweh, work powerfully now!
26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of Yahweh.
You bless us from the house of Yahweh.
27 Yahweh is God and he shines on us.
Tie the sacrifice with ropes on the horns of the altar.
28 You are my God – I praise you!
My God – I lift you up!
29 Give thanks to Yahweh because he is good;
his committed love lasts forever.
