JOHN 17
17 Jesus said these things, then lifted his eyes into heaven and said,
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your son so that your son may also be glorifying you, 2 just as you gave him authority of all flesh, so that he may be giving each one that you have given him the life of the Age. 3 And this is that life of the Age: that they may be knowing you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent. 4 I glorified you on the earth and I have finished the work you have given me to do. 5 So now, Father, glorify me with yourself with the glory that I had, before that of the world, being with you.
6 "I made your name clear to the people whom you have given me out of the world; they were yours and you have given them to me and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that all things, as much as you have given me, are from you. 8 In other words, I have given them the words you have given me – they got them, and they know for sure that I came out from you and they believe that you sent me. 9 I’m praying about them. I’m not praying about the world, but about those you have given me because they are yours. 10 All those who are mine are yours, and yours are mine and I have been glorified in them. 11 And I am in the world no longer, but these ones are in the world and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep those that you have given me in your name so that they may be one just as we are. 12 When I was with them in the world I kept those you have given me in your name. I guarded them and not one of them was destroyed other than the son of destruction so that scripture might be fulfilled. 13 So now I am coming to you, but I am saying these things in the world so that they may be having my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them your word. The world hates them because they are not of the world just as I am not of it. 15 I am not asking that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the Evil One. 16 They are not of the world just as I am not of this world. 17 Sanctify them in your truth – your word is the truth. 18 Just as you sent me into the world, likewise I sent them into the world, 19 and for their sake I am sanctifying myself so that they may be sanctified in the truth.
20 "I am not only praying about these ones, but also about the ones who will believe in me through their testimony, 21 that they all may be one just as you, Father, are in me and I in you – that they may also be one in us so that the world may believe that you sent me. 22 The glory which you have given me I have given them that they may be one just as we are one – 23 I in them and you in me that they may be perfected into one so that the world might know that you sent me and that you loved them just as you loved me. 24 Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am so that they may be seeing my glory that you gave me, because you loved me before the creation of the world. 25 Oh righteous Father, the world didn’t know you but I know you and these ones know that you have sent me. 26 I have made your name known to them, and I will yet make it known so that the love with which you love me may be in them and I may be in them also."
